CRT PHARMACY TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATE:
The Pharmacy Technician Certificate program is designed to provide knowledge in principles and practices pharmacy technician. Upon completion of this program, the student among other items would able to:
- Discuss drugs and drug therapy including drug classification and frequently prescribed medications, dispensing process including prescription and medication order intake and entry,
- Explain the mathematics diagnostic evaluation including fractions and decimals, ratios, percentages, simple equations, ratio-proportion, measurement systems, drug orders, and drug labels,
- Discuss the drug dosage conversion and calculations, including oral dosage of drugs and recognition of solutions, intravenous solutions, equipment, and body surface area,
- Describe the dosage forms and routes of administration in addition to drugs information references and community pharmacy practices,
- Summarize the institutional pharmacy practices including bulk repackaging, sterile and non-sterile compounding, billing and inventory management, including pharmacy operations management and workflow.

- Ability to use Microsoft Windows
- Ability to work with a computer

The student will receive a certificate with credit hour transcripts upon successful completion of the program.
