HCA MEDICAL DATA ANALYST:
This Medical Data Analyst program is designed to deliver knowledge in medical insurance processes and procedures, healthcare record-keeping, analytic and investigatory techniques, evaluation methods, field operations methods, and related software applications. Upon completion of this program, the student among other items would able to:
- Define relational application database program, structured query language, and the essence of tables and data management,
- Explain the process of file management and date analysis; explain the important of SQL in large organization with large database issues,
- Summarize the basic clinical terms, the reimbursement methods, and the various basic information systems used in healthcare,
- Outline the basic healthcare improvement concepts, and the methods for improving efficiency and effectiveness,
- Describe how to use the proper diagnostic and procedure coding,
- Explain how to correct a rejected claim, work with a clearinghouse, and appeal a rejected claim.
EDUCATION & JOB EXPERIENCE:
- Ability to use Microsoft Windows
- Ability to work with a computer
