CRT HEALTHCARE INFORMATION TECHNICIAN CERTIFICATE:
This Healthcare Information Technician Certificate program is designed to provide knowledge in compiling, processing, and maintaining healthcare records at area hospitals and clinics in a manner consistent with medical, administrative, ethical, legal, and regulatory requirements. Upon completion of this program, the student among other items would able to:
- Explain the basic healthcare information clinical terms, the reimbursement methods, and the various basic information systems used in healthcare,
- Discuss the basic healthcare information improvement concepts, and methods for improving efficiency and effectiveness,
- Describe healthcare information management layout and guidelines of the ICD-10-PCS and describe the purpose of the ICD-10-PCS code,
- Outline how to use the healthcare information principles and terminology in the ICD-10-PCS codebook,
- Define the healthcare information concept relative to human body orientation and the human body in healthy and diseased conditions.
